This season, the collection takes its cues from photographer Greg Girard’s evocative imagery of Vancouver’s neon-lit streets from 1972 to 1982. Girard’s haunting portrayal of urban landscapes, paired with glimpses of pre-technological Hong Kong nightlife, serves as the emotional and visual core of the collection. The cinematic feel is further amplified by elements like draped velvet curtains, contrasting floral carpets, and stark lighting, creating a tension between the inner and outer lives of modern city dwellers.
